Eye Surgery Options
There are several different eye surgery options, and no single technique is suitable for all patients, so it is critical that the surgery is tailored to fit the needs of each and every individual patient. A surgical technique that is right for one patient may not be right for another, and correcting the effects of a wrongly chosen surgical option can be very difficult and traumatic.
Our centre provides the full range of vision correction surgery options outlined in the table above. The older Laser Eye Surgery techniques of microkeratome (Blade) LASIK and PRK are no longer used at this centre. All procedures are wavefront-based. Standard spectacle prescription-based treatment is used only if the wavefront measurements are unreliable.

The correct choice for you can only be ascertained after a comprehensive assessment of the risks and benefits in your particular case. Your choice should not be based on a ‘menu’ of various types of surgery at escalating prices.
